At IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia (ISM 2016), San Jose, California, USA, we present a specific adaption of the VLAD image signature for specific feature descriptors such as SIFT and SURF.
The method is based on the well-known VLAD image signature and includes the inherent properties of the underlying local image feature properties to improve the performance especially for small VLAD image signature sizes.
